Additional Course Information

I regularly exhibit in open exhibitions, galleries and art fairs throughout the UK. My work is held in private collections worldwide. Inspired by the landscape, I paint from a fascination of the duality between man’s brutality and a desire to create; erosion, decay, natural and manmade textures attract my attention and appear in my artwork creating evocative and often challenging paintings.

I offer tuition in my purpose-built studio nestled under oak trees at the top of my garden in the heart of Devon affording a cool, calm space in which I enjoy creating and sharing my passion for painting. The studio provides excellent inspiration giving an overall intimate and memorable experience.

My workshops are aimed at people who want to 'loosen up' and explore their ‘artistic voice’. Course attendees are encouraged to paint from their own inspiration – sketches or photos they have made. They are also encouraged to experiment and plan their work to ensure a strong composition and colour/mark making harmony.

I paint in watercolour, mixed media and oil and I have been providing workshops and painting holidays for many years, sharing my enthusiasm and encouragement with artists from all over the UK and abroad. My reputation for providing challenging, informative and experimental workshops is ever growing and through thoughtful planning I aim to provide a relaxed and informal atmosphere for small groups of up to 6 people.
